Candy Buffet is gaining much popularity in Malaysia nowdays where you can find them at weddings, birthday parties and also at corporate events. Candy Buffet is actually a table spread with all kinds of candies, chocolates and can be customised by including cakes, fruits or even chocolate fountain. The idea was to do away with door gifts, "bunga telur", goodie bags etc by offering the candy buffet where guest can pick and choose the items that they like to eat. A small container or glassine bag is also offered for guest to take-away their favourite things. For an idea what candy buffet looks like, below is a picture of a mini candy buffet with 3 spreads of candies ie. nougat, almond crisps and sugared almonds (for 150 guests) that I did for my sister's wedding recently. She chose a mini version since apart from the spread, we also gave out "bunga telur" in the form of chocolate chip cookies to the guest. The candy buffet is therefore an addition for the guest to indulge themselves in these sweets.
