Sweet Cravings is now offering the infamous Whoopie Pie under our label brand SimplyDelish.

What is Whoopie Pie you might ask? Well a whoopie pie (alternatively called a gob, black-and-white, bob, or "BFO" for Big Fat Oreo) is a two round mound-shape cake with a sweet, creamy frosting sandwiched between them. Whoopie Pie is considered a New England phenomenon and a Pennsylvania Amish tradition and they are increasingly sold throughout the United States. According to food historians, Amish women would bake these (known as hucklebucks at the time) and put them in farmers' lunchboxes. When farmers would find these treats in their lunch, they would shout "Whoopie!". (wikepedia)

SimplyDelish Chocolate Chip Cookies

I've been baking chocolate chip cookies for my family for quite some time especially for the festive season but had never offered them for sale. Recently, a good friend of mine came over for a visit and whilst we were talking about cakes and cookies, she vented that the chocolate chip cookies that she bought recently was not so good and that it was difficult to get a good one apart from Famous Amos, obviously. She then asked why was'nt my choc chip cookies being offered for sale? Hmm.. honestly, selling these cookies never crossed my mind since I was more into baking/decorating cakes. Gift cake

This is a cake that I did yesterday for a 17 year old girl. The mother did not specify any design and just wanted a nice design cake.. after some thoughts, I decided to go for a gift cake - a cake that resemble a box, wrapped with gift wrappers adorned with ribbon on top. The cake was chocolate cake decorated with chocolate fondant and pink fondant ribbon. Here's the cake.
